2010 Managers in Transition Committee

Mission
To assist the organization in keeping track of managers in transition and developing programs
and services to assist them in their transition.
Goals and Objectives
1. Review current services provided to managers in transition and update as necessary: Educating MLGMA members and elected officials about early warnings signs, methods of effective legislative-management communication and other potential problems through conference programs, newsletter articles and our web pages; partner with the MML to establish an “early warning network” for intervention and promote such a network to our constituencies and; encourage and involve Range Riders in assisting in this process. Work toward empowering an elected official-range rider set of teams to respond to areas across the state. Such partnership is viewed as enhancing trust and credibility of the program.
2. Continue to develop an Early Intervention Program.
3. To review the current “manager in Transition Handbook” to ensure it remains current
and pertinent.
