2010 Summer Workshop Committee

Mission

Plan the 2011 Summer Workshop, which traditionally has carried a personal development
theme. While the Winter Institute is more general and emphasizes training and nuts and bolts
issues, the Summer Workshop is more oriented to individual personal and professional
development and encourages family involvement in program sessions and other workshop
activities.

Goals and Objectives

1. Plan for the conference to “break even” on revenues.
2. Review the relationship between speakers and content; speakers from outside organization vs. speakers from within.
3. Incorporate credentialing tenets and categories with winter conferences.
4. Continue to raise the content of the summer conference.
