2011 Winter Institute Committee

 

Mission
Plan the 2010 Winter Institute, which traditionally has been the main training workshop for the
Michigan Local Government Management Association. The Winter Institute emphasizes training
and “nuts and bolts issues.” The new board and president are formally elected at the Winter
Institute; past presidents are honored; and vendors are afforded a special event.

 

Goals and Objectives
1. Plan conference to be held in a location to be determined
2. Conference is designed to result in a profit after expenses for use by the Association
during the year on other projects.
3. Conference is designed to handle pertinent and timely issues related to the profession.
4. Efforts will be given to address the specific categories used by the ICMA for professional
development.
